Behavior

Frogs spend their lives near water and eat insects, small fish, earthworms and spiders. They hunt mostly at night and use their sticky tongue to catch food (such as flies or other insects). Their body temperature depends on the temperature of the surrounding environment; frogs are ectotherms or cold-bloodeed animals.

Frogs communicate with other frogs using a variety of complex calls, like ribbets, croaks or other sounds.

Frogs have many enemies: bats, fish, racoons, turtles, snakes and even human beings. Different species of frogs have different kinds of protection: some use colors for camouflage, some will play dead, and some will secret poison from their skin.
