Frog ReproductionThe males sing to attract the females for mating. Frog eggs are laid in the water and the male will release sperm to fertilize them. The eggs will hatch within 3-25 days. Young frogs are called tadpoles and look more like little fish. Tadpoles survive mainly on algae. As the tadpole grows, it will have hind and then front legs. Its tail will disappear and the tadpole will turn into an adult frog. Ducks, fish and insects are enemies for tadpoles. That's why many tadpoles will not reach the adult stage.
